Our last, and final (at least until or unless we make it to Korea again) Korean Ice Cream Bar Review. This last review has only nine Korean ice creams. If we had known we would have been sure to make it an even 10 but so it goes. Can you believe we tried nearly 40 different ice cream bars while in Korea? Especially considering we had most of the tasty ones many times. There weren’t many other dessert options available until our parents and grandma sent us candy and the ice cream was only about $0.20-$0.25 for the most part, so you really can’t blame us.
Melon Flavored Ice Bar
“Smells really good. Like summer. I like the texture. Good taste too. It is refreshing and fruit-like. The ice cream is soft and it reminds me a little of a melon. Really neat ice cream. It would make a good candle smell.” -Briana
“Yeah, I like this. It’s got a nice creamy texture. A strong but natural flavor of melon. I was expecting this to be more like a popsicle which is why I was avoiding it.” -Kyle
Strawberry Cherry Ice Bar
“Very hard and icy. There is a red shell and a white inside. It kind of reminds me of like a Bomb Pop or something like that. It’s good.” -Briana
“It’s good. It’s definitely icy. It’s much more popsicle-like but still has a slightly creamy texture. Definitely has more of an artificial flavoring to it. It’s alright.” -Kyle
Coffee flavored ice bar:
“It tastes like an iced caramel coffee. Got nice shell and basically ice cream inside.” -Kyle
“I like how it has a shell. Kind of a chocolatey-coffee shell and a super coffee ice cream taste. It’s good.” -Briana
Cherry Maroo
“I actually rather like both the texture and flavor. I think it is somewhat artificial but good. There are little cherry piece inside.” -Briana
“This is actually pretty good. It almost kind of reminds me of a gelato, it’s thicker, it doesn’t really feel like ice cream, it doesn’t really feel like sherbert.” -Kyle
Chocolate flavored Papico
“Definitely surprised by the packaging. It’s kind of convenient how it is bottled and shaped but at the same time, the way you open it is very messy, gets all over the place. It is essentially a soft serve in a container. It’s a little icy, not perfectly smooth, but it’s good.” -Kyle
“A little hard to eat, but good. Tastes like a chocolate milkshake.” -Briana
Goo Goo Cone Original
(can’t find our picture for this one)
“Good. I taste a marshmallow taste. I like the texture of the ice cream and the taste. The nuts on top are nice.” -Briana
“The ice cream has a good taste and texture. Cone is crunchy and good.” -Kyle
Madagascar Vanilla
“Good. I like it. Yum. Vanilla Ice cream, a little chocolate, and cone.” -Briana
“This is good. Pretty similar to the others like it.” -Kyle
Milk Ice Bar
“It’s good. It’s just a solid chunk of ice cream. Creamy, vanilla, almost buttery.” – Kyle
“Pretty good. Tastes expired a bit to me but all the milk-flavored things do and many are slightly expired. I do like it, though.” -Briana
Rich Milk Ice Bar
“It’s creamy. It’s kind of rich in a way like a heavy cream. It tastes good. There is this outer frozen layer and an inner more frozen layer of the white ice cream.” -Briana
“Creamy, pretty good.” -Kyle
